  1. Just want to start off saying I found this podcast because I was looking for anything starship troopers, cause I am a huge fan of everything starship troopers. I’ve read the book watch every movie plus the Roughnecks CGI show and the old starship troopers OVA released in 88. I’m planning on running a starship troopers game but I was going to use GURPS. My only issue is stating the bugs, power armour in GURPS is relatively easy but a little over powered and I can’t seem to make the bugs strong enough. Also a little insight on why the bugs didn’t attack at the end of the first movie, in the 3rd movie it explains that the bugs wanted the brain to be captured so it could telepathically send information to the hive mind “God bug”.

      1. Just for the record the second and third live action movies aren’t high quality and had a significantly smaller budget, but I watched them because I wanted to know everything I could about the universe. I do love the two animated movies “starship troopers invasion and traitor of mars” mostly because they used power armour and firmly think they should only do animated movies from this point on because it’s easier to get it right then live action.

  2. I agree, the other movies in the franchise are worth viewing.
Brian, what attracts you to this world particularly?
For me it’s the “fascist” state. It makes sense to me.
