Patreon Bonus 0002 – The Cabin in the Woods (2012)

For our second piece of launch-day Patron-exclusive bonus content, we’re bringing back one of our “lost” episodes, The Cabin in the Woods!

For a bit of background on this one, this episode would have aired in October of 2017, just before the Nightbreed episode, but we suffered semi-catastrophic loss of audio on second half of the recording. We briefly considered re-recording tat part, but never did, and eventually I considered it good and lost to the archive. However, I decided to give it one last try, and thanks to some folks in the reddit podcasting community, we have a partially-restored episode!

I want to make sure you realize that despite the restoration, it is still pretty rough in the second half. There was a really awful digital signal that was significantly toned-down in order to achieve the current version of the audio. I personally found it fine and listenable, but the diminished audio quality in the second part may turn off some listeners. However, if you can stick through it, this is some quality content, and I consider it one of our best.

Also, I should note that there is some really strong language in this one. Normally I cut out a lot of the tangent talk on these recordings, saving them to maybe be used in bonus clips. But since this entire episode is one big bonus, I just left everything in. it’s over two hours in length, but I am proud of the result.
